Appearance: Long white hair generally tied back, brown eyes that have a slight reddish tint to them. Around 5’9, muscular built and several tattoos which include the (millennium) ring and Atem's name on his chest and four black aces on his back. Wears clothes that are always a size too big and no jewelry other two studs in each ear. Recently Bakura ‘lost’ his right eye because of a deal for information with Yuuko. It is now completely white and Bakura is unable to see from it. Unless he can put his brother’s soul to rest his eye will stay this way forever. During the Sparta plot Bakura's hair was cut short and now comes to his neck.

Personality: Bakura is a very closed off person who comes off as self centered and extremely sarcastic. He is generally untrusting of everyone and does not like taking orders; it’s his way or no deal. He has both a foul mouth and temper; Bakura is know for causing conflict just for the sake of having something to do and has no fear of pain or injury. Although he is hard to get along with he can prove to be a worthy ally.

Abilities/Weapons: Bakura is skilled in street fighting which pretty much means he will fight dirty. He has learned that anything can be a weapon and knows how to make contraband from almost any household item. His two greatest weapons are a two-inched knife with a slight curved blade and his steel toe boots. Other skills include shoplifting and lock picking.

Weaknesses: Emotionally unstable Bakura can go off sometimes and due to several reasons he relies on one emotion generally: anger. When in these rages Bakura becomes violent, usually verbally than physically with anyone; should no one be around walls tend to feel his wrath. Once he has fought through his rage Bakura tends to act as if nothing has happened and refuses to talk about it. He always gets fidgety when he becomes bored and hates small confined places.

History

Oldest of three children, younger twin brother being Ryou and his sister Amane, Bakura was always the troublemaker and found himself a member of a gang at the age of fourteen. He joined the gang not because of a bad family life but more so because he tend to get bored too easy. When he wasn’t running with his gang, he was watching over his younger twin brother and baby sister since both parents had to work. Although he held a cold and tough attitude with the gang, he was a totally different person with his family. Caring and protective Bakura was carefully to make sure that his family knew nothing about his gang lifestyle.

At sixteen, he seriously injured a rival gang member and in retribution, the rival gang broke in Bakura’s home and killed his family. Bakura was placed into foster care but ran away and began to live in slums with fellow teenage runways. He has a tendency to talk aloud to his dead family members, generally Ryou seeing how close they were as children, and sometimes hears voices. Due to the fact he has never told anyone that he hears them it is still up in the air if he has some sort of mental illness or just an overactive imagination.

Since then Bakura has had countless run ins with the law and has changed drastically from the person he once was. Where once he would only rough someone up Bakura holds nothing back and wouldn’t care about killing anyone now. He is no longer with his old gang but is on the lookout for those who killed his family and plans to return the favor when the time comes.

Since coming to Econtra

Bakura was more than angry about being sent to Econtra and was ready to pick a fight with anyone. At the time, Econtra was for the most part empty and his first run ins with other drafted did not do well. He quickly disliked both Atem and Luke, writing them both off as annoying. As time went on, Bakura found himself enjoying Atem’s company and before long, the two were in a relationship together. His relationship with Atem has calmed Bakura down a great deal, but at the same time causes him a good deal of stress since he worries so much for her safety.

He has slowly made other relationships that most times can be seen as a love-hate thing because Bakura is awfully moody. A good deal of the people he once could not stand, such as Luke, Mint, Jing and Zelos, he now has a sort of respect for. Luckily, he gets along with his roommates, especially Zel and Bushroot.

As far as the plot goes, Bakura has had his hair dyed candy apple red, gotten a kitten plushie from Atem, actually got dressed up and went to a ball with Atem, left paper flowers in the commons out of boredom, gave blood to save Ryou and got turned into a kid again. He also lost his right eye as a price to Yuuko for his wish to help his brother’s spirit and has since been blind on his right side. He’s had a few moments of insanity caused by his lack of sleep and from when Atem’s body was taken over by Zorc.

As of late, Yuuko “died” and fragments of her were sent to several people in Econtra, which led to totally madness. During this time, Atem was infected and could read other people’s thoughts, including Bakura’s. To keep her safe from his thoughts, Bakura keep away from her and because of this stressed out at not being able to help her. In hopes of doing something, Bakura went up against the infected Jing, which only ended in Bakura being badly beaten. Although Yuuko went back to normal along with the infected drafted, Bakura was having a hard time of just getting over it, the whole situation made him feel useless to Atem and made him doubt his worth to her. These ideas pressed down on him and after thinking over things, Bakura broke up with Atem. Set on his originally goal of simply dealing with Econtra and getting home, Bakura became withdrawn from the rest of Econtra. He acted if as he didn't care, while in reality Bakura was having a hard time dealing with being away from Atem. Things continue like this until he make another wish with Yuuko and forgot about the death of his family. Many of his memories were forgotten, including the break up with Atem.
